Harkness’ Andrew Emmott will take part in an industry panel debate.

Harkness Screens has announced it is delighted to see Big Cine Expo re-emerge after the impact of Covid-19 and wishes the organisers of India’s premier event a fantastic show. The company is eagerly looking forward to meeting and connecting with cinema friends, old and new.

The Harkness team will be led by VP sales Andrew Emmott (pictured) who will be accompanied by sales director Sriram Sistla and the domestic sales team.

Reporting directly to Harkness Group CEO Mark Ashcroft, Andrew has spent eight years building his cinema knowledge under the tutelage of well-known industry figures Tony Dilley (SVP sales), Allen Xing (former general manager of China) and David Harrison (former chief technology officer). Andrew leads Harkness activities in India and Asia, together with total responsibility for strategic partners such as Dolby.

Andrew has lived and worked in China and the USA, developing relationships with IMAX, Wanda and Regal.

He said: “Leading our sales efforts as the industry recovers from the pandemic is a challenge that I look forward to. Being able to meet face to face is something we have all missed.”

Key themes for Harkness at Big Cine Expo will include the increased usage of Clarus 170 for global premieres and premium format cinemas.

Andrew said: “We are totally committed to the Indian market, with state of the art manufacturing facilities in Bangalore and a growing team supporting customers.”

Additionally, Andrew will be presenting at one of the event’s industry panels, offering participants the opportunity to learn more about how to interpret screen gain and uniformity.

Commenting on Big Cine Expo, Mark Ashcroft said: “It’s great to see the show back and to have Andrew and Sriram talking directly to theatre owners is a real positive. Andrew’s experience across Harkness and his ability to build customer relationships across the globe is why he’s leading our efforts in India and Asia.”
